Assoc. Prof. Dr. Antoaneta Balcheva

Antoaneta Balcheva is an Assoc. Prof. at the Institute of Balkan Studies&Center of Thracology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She was a scientific secretary of the Institute for two mandates. Antoaneta graduated in Slavonic Philology at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski "and has also a MA in History and Theory of Culture at Sofia University" St. Kliment Ohridski ". She has taught in Italy at the Universita degli studi di Milano and in Croatia, at the Hrvatska paneuropska unija, Zagreb. A. Balcheva Specialized in Italy (1996-1998), at the University of Milan, Dipartimento di Sociologia; Centro Studi ETNICOS, Milano. She is the head of an international Bulgarian-Croatian project signed between the Institute for Croatian Literature, History and Theatre at the Croatian Academy of Science and Art (Zavod za povjest hrvatske knjizevnosti, kazalista i glazbe, HAZU) and the Institute of Balkan Studies at BAS, entitled “The contribution of the intellectual and spiritual elites in Bulgaria and Croatia to the linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe", as well as an international Bulgarian-Czech project signed between the Historical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Balkan Studies and BAS on "Cooperation, Influences, Misunderstandings. Bulgarians and Czechs in the XXV. "He is currently the project manager for the Balkans in the European Cultural Space and participated in the project" Globalization and Culture: Educational and Cultural Policies in Southeast Europe ", led by Assoc. Prof. Yordanka Binba. She has over 60 scientific papers and studies in various academic journals. Her essays and articles have been published in Bulgarian, English, Croatian, Czech, Italian and other editions. She speaks Italian, Serbian, Croatian, Check, Russian, and English.
